Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN) are a set of diseases associated with too many blood cells of a certain type in the body.

These cells overcrowd other cells, leading to imbalance and disease state.

Testing for MPN related genetic changes can uncover the genetic cause of the overproduction and allow for treatment related decisions.
Sample Requirements:

Peripheral Blood or Bone Marrow

2-5mL in a sodium heparin (green top) tube. 5 mL in a EDTA (purple top) will be accepted but is not preferred.

Minimum: 1 mL

Storage: Room temperature if being shipped within 24 hours. Refrigerate if shipping will be delayed.

Stability: Sample is optimum if received within 48 hours.
